Ashampoo Internet Accelerator 2 will help you to make the most of your Internet connection’s speed by adjusting your Internet parameters to the most convenient settings for your hardware and the software installed. You can either let the program make an automatic adjustment or, if you are an experienced user, you can make manual settings to optimize your Internet connection.

If you prefer to go the easy and safe way, you can select the automatic optimization. Internet Accelerator 2 will only need to know what type of connection you have – analogue or cable modem, ISDN, DSL (LAN or WLAN), or a non-DSL LAN connection. The program will perform a complete checking of your system and make the necessary adjustments to provide you with the highest speed your system can provide. You will see the results immediately, especially if you use a modem and an ISDL connection. Note that if your computer is used as a server, you should not change any of the settings.

Professionals can make all these changes themselves. Asampoo Internet Accelerator 2 will show you all the settings that can be optimized and will let you activate or deactivate certain options or change certain numeric values. You can change the size of your maximum transfer unit (MTU) according to your bandwidth, select the most convenient RWIN, the optimum number of HTTP connections or set the TTL (TimeToLive) of your data packets manually.

In Ashampoo Internet Accelerator 2 security comes first – that is why none of changes in these settings will take effect unless you go to the last tab of the interface and click on the “Apply” button. A warning in this tab and another one on the Introduction tab will remind you of how sensitive these manual changes can be when made by non-professional users. The program gives you the possibility of going back to the original Windows® default settings if necessary.
